Oderberg-Chorin: Transquil places like Oderberg, Stolzenhagen und Brodowin harmonically fit in with the typical hilly forest landscape of the terminal moraine. Tourists enjoying this idyllic scenery can track down interesting traces of human culture. The Cistercian Monastery of Chorin is one of the most beautiful as well as most important historic monuments of German Gothic-style brick architecture. Every year thousands of visitors are attracted to this sight to enjoy the Chorin Summer Festival of Classical Music as well as a variety of other concerts against the unique backdrop of monastery. The Niederfinow Boat Lift is just a few kilometres away. It takes the caisson just five minutes to overcome a difference in altitude of 118 ft. 

Eberswalde: Eberswalde is known as the "cradle" of the industry in the Brandenburg part of Prussia. A lot of monuments to the town´s industry are material evidence for the turbulent history, its rise, heyday and decay. The districts of Kupferhammer (Copper Forge), Eisenspalterei (Iron Mill) and Messingwerk (Brass Foundry) are reminiscent of the three oldest industrial cantres of town. Some monuments to the industrial history have been included in the Family Park of Eberswalde, which was laid out on the former area of the Brandeburg Landscape Gradening Exhibition of 2002. The Eberswalde Zoo is also a very popular desination. The "Museum at the Eagle´s Chemist´s" (Adlerapotheke), St Mary Magdalene Church as well as the Botanical Garden of Forestry are also worth a visit. When looking for refreshment, you should opt for a cruller as this delicious as well as nutrious round pastry was invented here in 1832.
